How we write and check our guides

TopInMorocco guides help you plan routes, costs and etiquette in Morocco. This page says plainly how each guide is made, what we check, and what a reviewed label means.

How a guide is made

Each guide answers one real traveler question, taken from a researched topic list, and is drafted in English and French with AI assistance using a fixed structure: the answer first, a short list of key takeaways, practical sections and a FAQ.

The drafting instructions forbid invented first-hand claims, made-up quotes and unnamed experts. Prices are given as ranges and flagged as changeable.

Automatic checks before publication

Every draft must pass structural checks: minimum length, clear headings, a FAQ of at least four questions, a usable meta description and no placeholder text. A draft that fails is not published.

These checks catch broken or thin pages. They do not prove that a fare, time or rule is correct.

Official sources

When a guide mentions trains, coaches, airports or visas, it lists the official operator or authority (ONCF, CTM, ONDA, the Accès Maroc e-visa portal). Listing a source tells you where to confirm the current fare, timetable or rule before you book. It does not mean we checked a specific figure.

What “Reviewed by” means

A guide shows “Reviewed by” followed by a name and a date only when that named person verified the guide against official sources and local knowledge on that date. Guides without this line have not been field-verified yet, and say so at the top of the page.

Updates and corrections

The “Updated” date changes only when the substance of a guide changes, never for cosmetic edits. If you find an error, write to us and we will correct it and update the date.
